Hello, I’m Katie LaPierre, an author, pastor’s wife, and homeschooling mother of nine in Washington state. My husband, Scott, is also an author, speaker, and the teaching pastor of Woodland Christian Church. Because of my passion to encourage mothers, I run a ministry called Eternally Minded Mamas. When I’m not caring for my husband, children, or home, you can find me writing, reading, or investing in mothers.

My Family
This is me and my precious family! From left-to-right: Lydia (#8), Katie, Charis (#4), Ruby (#7), Chloe (#5), Rhea (#1), Noah (#6), Ricky (#2), Scott, Johnny (#3). George (#9) is not pictured.
Topics
I generally write about the three M’s: mothering, marriage, and money.
Mothering
Because of my love for mothers, I run a ministry called Eternally Minded Mamas, drawn from:
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Colossians 3:2
I want to encourage mamas to see the eternal purpose and value in the midst of the temporal and mundane. I am passionate about women having an eternal perspective in a world that constantly distracts us toward the temporary.
Marriage
I love encouraging wives, and I frequently accompany Scott at his Your Marriage God’s Way Conferences.
Money
We got out of debt a few years ago on only one income. I have a passion to share our frugal ways, because I was not always frugal. I was the opposite: indulgent and wasteful. The Lord changed my heart.
I look for ways to save money for His glory and my family, and to share those ways. You will find lots of practical advice on here so you too can be frugally minded and get out of debt. If you are already out of debt, I will share great ways to save money. If we can do it on a teacher’s salary and then a pastor’s salary as well as lots of kids, I know you can do it too!
If you want to get started immediately, I highly recommend my husband’s book and workbook, Your Finances God’s Way:
Be sure to check out his wonderful book and workbook, filled with lots of biblical knowledge:
